Let try to go fly a kite!

Don had a great idea this weekend to take the kids to fly their kites, unfortunately there wasn't quite enough wind to keep them in the air. I felt bad, they were all running around the park trying to find the wind but everyone seemed to have a great time. It was fun to see them try.

Trying to get the four kids

The kids Grandma Mary made Morgan this beautiful nightgown and send money to buy the boys some new jammies. I thought it would be so fun to take a picture of all of them together wearing them. I am including some to show how lovely it is to get them to cooperate, especially Brock who wanted nothing to do with it as you can see. Ty and Cale also have their own unique way of "smiling." Poor Morgan was a trooper the whole time, she wasn't quite so pleasant to her brothers between takes but she puts on a lovely smile for the camera.

Our fun Tuesday

All six kids playing at the campground

Morgan and Cale sleeping, they have their own rooms but somehow always end up in each others rooms, I think Morgan secretly wishes she had a bunk bed too. Don was gone last night so Ty was sleeping with me. It's one of their favorite things to do.

Brock was wiped out yesterday he loved hanging out with Zach, it was cute, he's not much of a stranger person but he loved him.
We ended up not having any daycare kids on Tuesday. So we decided to head over to the coast while we still had a chance to hang out with the Jones' again. I only have one picture, Tammy was the photographer for the day so I'll post some pictures once I get them from her. We left town about 11:30 and didn't get home until 9:30. Two things I learned yesterday were Ben, who came along with us, did an awesome job traveling but was not impressed by being sandblasted at the ocean. Secondly was that our family is so not ready to be a camping family. It's rather difficult to control a toddler in a campsite, maybe I'm not ready for all the dirt and work that goes into camping at this point in my life. We got home and had to throw everyone in the bath because they were filthy. The bathwater was brown by the time we were finished, gross. We had a great time hanging out. I also got some cute pictures of them sleeping again, I know who cares but I love it.

Sweet Ty

I love watching my kids sleep and got a picture of Ty last night. I'm going to add some of the others once I get them taken. We took a walk yesterday to the library and to run some errands and skipped nap so they were tired last night. Morgan and Cale were up til 9 reading their new library books but Ty didn't make it that long. I love library days, Cale was trying to read one of his books while we were walking home and as soon as we got home they were out on the patio reading. Library days usually equal quiet evenings and this one was no exception.

Oh the simple sharp things!

I just thought I would share how the simplest most dangerous things can be the biggest pleasures. Don bought me a real life honest to goodness bread knife yesterday. I used it today for the first time and wow, so exciting. I haven't had one this whole time we've been married. It's so exciting. I also got a new cheese grater and chopping knife. I guess after almost 14 years of marriage I deserve it. Just thought I would share hee hee.

Reconnecting with old friends

Tammy and I back in the day.

Yesterday our family got a huge treat. My college roomate and her husband were on their way to camp in Lincoln City and stopped in Salem to have lunch and we met them there and hung out for a couple hours. Tammy, Zach, and I all attended Ecola Bible College in Cannon Beach back in the day haha and haven't seen each other in 14 years. It was so fun catching up and just talking, brought back a lot of old memories, I was so thankful to have been able to see their family and spend time with them, I remember now how much fun they were and still are. The guys got to talk about well I don't know because Tammy and I were so busy talking I wasn't paying attention. The kids all had a blast playing in McDonalds play area. I didn't get pictures of all the kids because they were running around getting sweaty and having a great time. Thanks Jones for stopping and hope it won't be so long next time between visits.

Beautiful Roses

I've been going out every day and pruning my roses. I thought I would share how beautiful and bountiful they've been. My husband buys me roses daily!
