Pumpkin Patch 2010

We had planned a day at the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday but it looked like this.
So we decided this morning since we didn't have daycare kids to head out and luckily we timed it just right that it didn't rain on us at all. However, it was freezing and windy. The kids had a great time and can't wait to start carving away. Stay tuned.

Happy Birthday Brock

Yep my sweet little ball of energy has finally turned four! I can't believe how fast it's gone, feels like he was just born yesterday. This little guy makes me feel young and old all at the same time. He is full of love, hugs, and mischief. I am thankful for him every day! One of our little "rituals" is at bedtime he wants both cheeks kissed and then he rubs the kisses in, then does the same thing go me, I love this little guy so much.

Yesterday was his official birthday (as I am posting this at 3:45AM, darn insomnia) he has been waiting and waiting to turn 4 so he could get his very own library card. So after dinner we headed to the library, he was so sweet going up to the desk and telling one of our favorite librarians that he would like a library card. She then sang him happy birthday as several other people looked on. Of course then we had to head right over to the childrens books so he could check out his very own books on his very own library card.

Cake and presents

Sunday night (yep the day before his official birthday) We let Brock have his cake and open his presents. I don't think any of us could wait any longer than that.

Seeing his cake for the first time.

Cake in the making

It's cake time yet again in the Gullett household. Brock turned 4 on Monday so we set about making him a "Monster Mutt" cake on Saturday. It included taking apart a non-running remote control truck, screwing a piece of wood to the top, and covering said top with aluminum foil. I baked 2-9x13 sheet cakes and Don did the rest. Oh I guess I made the frosting (haha) cause I'm a helper like that you know =)  And the rest is history.
