Happy Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day, got up and made waffles then headed to Lebanon for the Trash Cars and Tough Trucks Competition. Don and the kids always enjoy a good car crash, and I enjoy watching the people in the stands and of course a good crash is fun too! Oh and check out my attempt to get a good picture of the family, it was not happening, obviously!

Fun time with friends

We got together with a few friends on Friday at a local pizza place. It was a little crazy, 15 kids and four adults. We survived and the kids had a great time!

Sweet and not so sweet faces!

Well I tried to get all kids pictures yesterday so you could see their freckles or lack thereof but you'll see I had one that wasn't super interested in any of it!

In which we get out of town

This past weekend we headed to Elkton, Oregon to see the butterfly gardens. Upon arriving we found that flowers and plants that attract butterflies are the attraction, we got to see some butterflies that had been hatched inside and didn't see any outside. The saving grace of the whole thing was they have also build replica of Fort Umpqua on the property. We were able to walk around it, and meet some amazing men, one is a historian who seems to know everything about Oregon history, and I know none since we aren't originally from here. Then we met a man who does camps like goes to different historic areas and camps with a bunch of other people in the timeperiod of the location which is totally up my alley! We got to see a couple of old guns, which he uses for hunting still, candles, blankets, etc. It was so cool. It was a great day just hanging out with the kids and getting out of town.

Just got a call from the doctor and so far the results are that my thyroid is finally in a normal range, however my vitamin d is still low so I get to continue taking two 50,000 pills twice a week for another twelve weeks. My initial level was at 8 and now it's up to 18, the low end of the normal range is 30 so hopefully this summer and more pills will up my energy level, etc. Hope it helps!

I've got no pictures from the past week just didn't happen. We are plugging away on the last little bit of homeschool for the older two and then Ty has probably a month left to finish 1st grade. He's a trooper, two grades in a regular school year. Can't believe we've been homeschooling for two years, can't wait to see what is yet to come as we continue on our journey.

Hmm, what else...we got the front yard weeded, still need to do the backyard so we can plant the garden, HOPEFULLY! Each time we think about it the rain comes or I have a house full of kids and no ambition to weed =) I go in for some blood work soon to see what my vitamin D levels are along with how my thyroid medicine has affected my system. All I know is I feel tired, fatigued, all around bummed lately and I'm hoping the bloodwork will reveal something to help with my bummedoutedness =)

We are looking forward to this summer, visiting friends, more daycare, lots of walks and hopefully we will get to head to Washington to visit my mom and brother. We have yet to go to either of their houses and I have a nephew I have yet to meet. I will take some pictures this week to share. Hope you are well!

Our weekend

This past weekend Don was home three days which was nice for all of us. We ended up hanging out at home most of the time, we smoked some meat, toasted some smores and played a couple rousing games of croquet (haha) Monday some friends came over and we bbq'ed. Come to think of it I wonder if any of the food we ate was cooked inside. Enjoy the pictures!
