Yesterday we tried our hand at geocaching and had a great time traipsing across fields (including blackberries OUCH) and found all kind of neat things at Camp Adair. We figure we walked about five or six miles, saw lots and lots of caterpillars and one snake with a rattly tail, yuck! We searched for ten geocaches and figure there are probably at least 30 or more left for us to find, can't wait.

Picture update

I took the kids on a three mile walk/hike last night and got some great pictures. We, as usual, had a great time, we kicked the leaves in the trail and enjoyed listening to the owls hooting and watching the leaves fall from the trees. Oh how I love fall!

The kids and I all went Tuesday morning to pick apples. We picked 113 pounds have been dehydrating and canning like crazy since then. They apples weren't ripe as early and we finally got to pick the ever elusive Brock apple. We were all so excited, it was yummy =) Couldn't resist getting a picture of my Brock by his apples =)

Weekend getaway

Some amazing friends of ours offered to watch our kids/house/dog for a night while Don and I went away for the first time since we had Morgan. We had an amazing time, took LONG walks on the beach (we got lost) but we did get to meet some nice mormon guys =) We found a great beach with a spout and got some amazing pictures and luckily didn't get wet like some of the other people down there.

What do you do on a rainy day when you have a house full of kids?

Tough trucks and trash cars

Saturday night we headed to Willamette Speedway in Lebanon for their Tough Trucks and Trash Cars race. I will say this was the most action packed night we've seen. We saw two cars roll over and another lady decided to take one of those kind of off road golf carts and she flipped it a good three times, everyone walked away from the night, but I told Don my heart couldn't take anymore action. I kept expecting someone to get hurt but I would imagine some of those people were quite sore Sunday morning! Oh and Don yet again announced that he would love to do the trash cars stuff, UM NO, HELLO THEY FLIP CARS, YOU HAVE FOUR KIDS, NOT GONNA HAPPEN =)

McDowell Creek

We went hiking again Saturday morning before Don got home (after TWO weeks gone). We as usual had a great time, saw lots of slugs, snails, and some beautiful waterfalls.
