Sweet little notes!

Ty wanted to write me a note the other day and when I went to read it found that it was in Post its! So glad I got a picture! He's so sweet!

Finally an update

My mom came to visit last weekend and we had a great time. We didn't really do anything super exciting, we bowled one day and just spent time together.

Whew what a week!

Sorry its been a few days since my last post, it's been a rough week. Got a phone call Monday morning that one of my friends 2 and a half year old son was killed while they were out running. I have known this gal for I think five or six years and of course Dylan his whole life. He was such a sweet little boy, he was mischevious but always had such a twinkle in his eye and loved to make people laugh. The kids have taken it especially hard, they have gone to bible study with this family and we just saw him a few days before the accident. I lost it completely at the service this weekend when we were looking at the memory boards and Brock said, "look Mommy there's my friend." The message that was given during the service was so great especially for the kids talking about how Dylan had christian parents and a prayer life right from birth so when he went to heaven and saw Jesus there was no fear, or trepidation! Also that we are apart from him but where he is that's where we are going! I want to make sure I continue to raise my kids to love Jesus but to know hey I've got Jesus in my heart and I'm going to heaven so I get to see Dylan again was a great thing for the kids to hear. I am so thankful for a new week and for the family God has given me!

Well I did it, I broke my pinky toe, yes I'm a dork and yes it hurt! Thought I would share a couple pictures of the yuckiness.

Morgan has discovered a new hairstyle, it totally reminds me of the 80's but hey she loves it so that's all that counts. I wish I could get away with trying new things like she does.

Someone's coming for dinner

A couple days ago a good friend and her kids came for dinner. Morgan made French Toast, well I made the dip she was in charge of turning it on the griddle. She came up and asked if she could be in charge of that, she makes me so proud!

What else do normal people do when getting together? Why play Super Mario of course!

Fun day in Salem

Don was out of town this past weekend so the kids and I headed to Salem to ride the carousel, play at the fun park next to it and a cheap lunch at Sonic. We had a great time enjoying sunshine and semi warm temperatures in the middle of January!
