Dollar Bowling

The kids had a dentist appt Tuesday and did a great job. NO CAVITIES again! Yeah! Good job guys. I decided the night before if they did well at the appt we would go bowling. Lakeshore Lanes through at least the month of June has dollar bowling on Tuesdays so each game is $1 per person instead of $3.50 so a great deal. Anyhow, I snapped a few pictures, I was shocked by their scores even with bumpers they did a great job, Morgan got a little crazy with one shot and threw her ball down someone elses lane, it was so cute but man has that girl got an arm on her. Brock just sat back and relaxed in the stroller, he loves balls so I think just watching them was a huge entertainment for him. He loves Cale and can say his name so every time Cale would bowl he would yell really loud CALE and clap it was cute. I had to include a picture of the scores for both games because frankly I was shocked!

Last Day of School Fun

The kids had their last half day of school today. We all watched the fifth graders set off rockets and then Ty, Brock and I headed to the library for storytime and puppet show and then back to school to pick up Morgan and Cale. Then we headed home and set up the Welcome to Summer signs, they were so surprised, and had a great time trying to break through them, all that happened was the tape broke but now they can save them which seems to be a special treat for them too. Next it was a picnic at a local park and then ice cream cones from McDonalds. We headed home at 3 and then picked up Don from work at 4, he hasn't been home all week so even this was a fun surprise. Cale is spending the night at his friends tonight so I think he may be just a "little" exhausted tomorrow. It was a fun day, I found myself near tears a couple times, feeling thankful that I could spend time like this with my kids and not be out driving in the middle of farm country every day. We may not be as well off as we were in the past but I am so thankful to be able to spend all this time with my kids and so thankful the paper route is OVER!!! NO MORE HOMEWORK, NO MORE BOOKS, NO MORE TEACHERS DIRTY LOOKS!!!!! Enjoy the pictures

Update on Cale

He seemed better by the time he got home this afternoon. He did ask if we could buy three Nintendos one for each of the three older kids and I'm like hmm let me think $129 times 3 plus games. Nope not gonna happen. Morgan did say that she cried and I asked why, I'm so proud she said she was sad for Cale because if she won she had said she would give it to him since she missed 3 1/2 days this past year. I love my kids so much and sometimes they say stuff like that that just makes me see a little glimmer of Jesus in their hearts. They have a half day of school and then SUMMER BREAK!!!! YEAH!!! I have big plans for the afternoon I'll post pictures, I saw somewhere to make banners for them to run through that say WELCOME TO SUMMER then we're going to do a picnic lunch now that I'm trying to not spend money and then I have $5 in McDonalds coupons so we'll do ice cream and then head to a local park. Cale has a sleepover tomorrow night at my friend Danielles so the house will be a little quieter tomorrow. Anyhow I'll post a pictures of my sweeties from today so it's not a totally pictureless day and thanks for all your prayers I'm done being frustrated at least for a few minutes =)

Poor Cale

I just thought I would share poor Cale's major disappointment today. He had perfect attendance for the year and they did a drawing today for the kids who had missed 4 or less days of school to win a Nintendo DS. Needless to say he wasn't picked. I think it was unfair that they didn't make the drawing exclusively for the kids who missed no days but I'm ranting, but wait I have more I'm so frustrated. The principle is leaving this year and typically has a special lunch with the perfect attendance kids and didn't even know this year how many had even achieved the attendance goal. Cale's whole purpose of going every day was to receive one of those games. I left him at school this morning in tears and feeling totally guilty. I wish I could protect their little hearts and feelings all the time. Please pray for my frustrated heart and for Cale's sad little person.

Tasty cookies and cupcakes

Morgan and Ty used some of our homemade playdoh to do a little "baking" It was fun to watch them pretending and having a ball doing something imaginative.

New Addition

Here is the new addition to our circus. His name is Ben he was born April 12, 2008. He is supposed to be part chocolate lab, part golden retriever, we are hoping by getting him as young as he is that we can train him. We are of course potty training and teaching him to stay by us in the front yard. We take him on daily walks and so far except for the typical puppy issues he is a great dog, he does well with the kids and as you can see by the pictures is sooo cute!

New picnic table

We found an eight seater picnic table the other day and Don assembled it with the kids. They got to use the tools and everything. We had to sit at it inside last night because it was raining outside.
